I’m basically treating the blog as somewhat of a change-log, which works for now. The gluten-free restaurants section has gone up and i’ll be adding the various places where you can experience gluten-free dining across Berlin.
The main problem with visiting restaurants for those with celiac is that it’s a hassle. We don’t only want to eat gluten-free but also free from fear, concerns, worries and above all, painful symptoms. I have forgotten how often i’ve asked whether something is gluten-free, only to then experience all the symptoms that go with the consumption of gluten.
Restaurant staff is often either unaware, uneducated, or uninterested. That’s a big problem, and Berlin is no exception to this. The idea behind Gluten-Free Berlin has always been to make the experience easier for us all. In the future it will be possible to add listings yourself if you come across them.
Let’s move towards a gluten-free future for all those affected by either celiac, non-celiac sensitivity, and wheat allergies!
